We know there are some very skilled people around the greater Ararat area. If you would like to share your skills by teaching a workshop, we would love to hear from you. Workshop facilitators can either volunteer or be paid (contractor). Contact us with your workshop idea.

The Ararat Women’s Shed is run entirely by volunteers, and we currently have positions open for committee members (both general and specialist). If you’d like to get involved as a volunteer in any way, please contact us.

We are creating a shed from scratch and have a big wishlist of equipment and materials we’d love. If you have donations, or items available cheaply, please get in touch. We’re looking for everything from sewing machines to power drills and timber. We would also partner up on fundraisers.

Donations help fund us and get our programs up and running, and every dollar will help us grow. We are in the process of gaining accreditation as a registered charity, and once we’re good to go, we’ll gratefully accept cash donations.

Ararat Women’s Shed will open up for memberships in the first half of 2026, which will provide members with access to the shed and equipment, and discounts to attend paid workshops. Members will also be the first to hear of our upcoming events, be able to join groups like our book club and stitch n’ bitch group, and our private Facebook group.
